I was in an office complex today and there was a sign above a lady’s desk that said…”You can’t please everyone, you aren’t pizza.” I thought how true! We are all different. We don’t like the same colors, have different opinions, dress in what suits us, and pick various careers for ourselves. In a world of many people, we are all different in one way or another. Pepperoni Pizza anytime, to my daughter’s pineapple. Don’t even get me started. But there is one thing that we all have in common. Whether you choose to believe it or not, we all want to be loved and accepted. Even the toughest person, will give in, if love is shown to them. I believe that I would not want to be an atheist (of course, I would never believe that way), but the main reason would be that I couldn’t imagine not having some higher power looking out for me. With the things I have suffered in my life, I would not have made it without a savior. The thought of just showing up here on earth with no real purpose would leave me empty. Jesus tells us that we are here to do His work until He returns for His people. That work is telling others about salvation and a life in Heaven for those who believe, after we leave this world. Regardless of what I try to do I cannot please everyone. I can try, but I fail so often. Pizza comes in all combinations, but even with that, there are times you need more than one or two with various toppings to satisfy a crowd. So, stop worrying about making everyone happy. You can’t. The main person we all must strive to please with our lives is Jesus Christ. After all, Heaven is the goal. And what greater satisfaction than even a good pizza is that! Until He Comes!
